Luke 7 – The Authority of Jesus

Luke 7

To religious people, the true message of Jesus is either offensive, or boring.

To the legalist, the message of grace is an offensive, bitter taste.

To the one who has known God for a long time, Jesus’ message becomes old hat, boring, and taken for granted.

But the man who hears the Word of God, and acts upon it is indeed like a man who builds a house upon a strong, unfailing foundation. The house will not be shaken or swept away.

Jesus has authority over everyone and everything, for he is the King of Salvation.
