Luke 5

The new wine has arrived! The third Thursday of every November, the Beaujolais Nouveau arrives, and what a beautiful wine it is.  Likewise, the gospel that Jesus brings is a new wine. The Pharisees complained that Jesus’ disciples did not fast, but instead ate, drank and were merry while Jesus was with them. They complained that Jesus’ disciples were having too much fun! They weren’t following the religious rules, and they were taking the delights of following God, and turning them into duties and drudgeries.
